The guerrilla artist Banksy is making big headlines again with news that his paintings recently sold for record breaking numbers at an auction house in London. ‘Spacegirl and Bird’ was originally commissioned by British rock band Blur for an album cover and sold for a staggering 288,000 British pounds which converts to a little over 500,000 USD. The spray-paint on steel painting was sold for 20 times its estimate to an undisclosed telephone bidder from the US.
